DJ Choonmaster began playing in 1995.

The reason he became interested in DJ’ing was so that he could listen to the music that he liked. He started, as did most DJ’s, in his bedroom. This progressed into the lounge!

People started to go to his home after a night clubbing and they too enjoyed his taste in music.

Soon he was being asked to play gigs.

He began in his home town of Bournemouth. 

He played venues such as the “infamous” Manor at Ringwood, Madisons in B’m’th and he guested for Roadworks Productions at various venues.

He was then asked to play Grays on the Grays Inn Road in London.

He then had a break from music.

In 2004 he came back to the hobby he loved.

Presently he is a resident DJ on Boost FM, playing 2 shows a week.

He plays an Electro House show on Tuesdays, between 8pm and 10pm (GMT), and a House music show on Fridays, same time.

He is also a resident DJ for Eartheart on the festival scene, and has played Glastonbury, Glade, Waveform, and Sunrise festivals.

He recently played with Banco de Gaia at a charity fundraising event for the Big Issue as part of London Fashion Week.

Although he started playing Trance his style now has moved into all things House!
